In our newsletter, we’ll be talking about company news *broken record* (if it’s worth mentioning that is). Projects, and people we’ve been working with too.
We’ll also be giving you quick, simple and easy to understand tips for your website. For your marketing and anything else we might find interesting to pass on, all in SMALL bite-sized chunks.
Our NEW Account Manager!
At the beginning of the month, we welcomed our new Account Manager Annie to our team, she’s helping us with social media presence, admin and project management.
She’ll be taking on some of Ciaran’s work, this will give him the opportunity to step into the EXCITING world of front-end development. Learning HTML and CSS to create our client’s visions into stylish websites for their customers.
h2o’s TOP 3 tips for optimising your webpage
1 Relevant compressed images – to quote Fred R. Barnard. “a picture is worth a thousand words” and information reads a lot easier when there are images to break up blocks of text. Make sure the images you use are relevant to your content, and they should definitely be a small file size (Use JPEG’S). This will increase the loading time speed too, lovely.
2 CTA – Or Call to actions –need to be RIDICULOUSLY CLEAR on your page, otherwise your customer won’t know how to interact with you and your products. There is no point of your page or content without a prevalent CTA. Frequent CTAs are things like “buy *insert exciting product* here” “subscribe now” “read more..please.”
3 Internal and external links – These are a great way to build credibility.
Internal links direct your readers to other related content on your site, external links direct readers to another site. But why is this important? Your outbound link helps your neighbour, your supplier, your customer and of course, visitors to your site. It’s also great for your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) too!
There are now 5 members of the Dream Team h2o digital, the office is getting a little cramped. So, as you might have seen from our recent social posts, we’re getting ready to relocate BACK to Carlton. Can this company sit still for longer than 2 minutes? I don’t think so. Speaking of 2 minutes, this will now be Ciaran’s daily commute time to the new office.
Thanks for reading our August newsletter, and if there’s a tweak on your site you’ve been meaning to tell us about- Or you’ve decided it’s time for a brand -new look – Or just for a natter we’d love to hear from you.
Keep it digital,
From all of us here at h2o.
